Do you know what goes on beneath your feet? Latest scientific thinking would have us believe that the enormous amount of heat energy within the core of planet earth comes from radioactive disintegrations deep inside our oblate spheroid. But is this theory credible?

It is amazing after five billion years that the earth has not cooled. After all, we travel through space, which has a temperature close to absolute zero, so massive amounts of heat escape into eternity every second of our existence. My cup of now hot coffee will be cold in half an hour yet the earth spits out molten rocks whenever a volcano erupts. So how come we haven’t lost all our heat energy to deep space in these billions of years since we were a collection of condensing gases after the ‘Big Bang’; or if you believe in Genesis…. God’s six day creation?

All scientists and those of a philosophical bent agree that heat energy must be being created at the centre of the earth. No one has yet come up with a satisfactory answer of how or why. Look, therefore, no further than the supreme energy source, the giver of life on earth…. our Sun.
No wonder the Romans and others worshipped the Sun.
It is truly phenomenal that 93 million miles away from us exists an energy generator of massive proportions pumping out particles and electromagnetic energy that flood our universe and give life to our planet earth. It is agreed that the Sun is so far the only example in our solar system of a constant yet controlled fusion reaction. Deuterium atoms are literally fused together and form helium atoms. The mass loss in this process follow the genius Einstein’s theory of E=mc2….. and so incredible amounts of energy are created.

Back on earth geophysists and the like monitor earthquakes and nuclear tests with a chain of seismometers that encircle the earth. By analysing waves that travel around the surface and through the centre of the earth it is possible to produce a model of the inner earth. At the centre is a solid, mainly iron, metallic core surrounded by a liqid metallic outer core; magma or molten rock then makes up the rest until one approaches the surface of the earth, where the rock becomes ‘plastified’ as it cools and forms the crust near to the surface. At the centre of the earth two interesting facts occur. The pressure caused by the outer magma is immense and there is no force of gravity. Wow…. unique conditions for something unique…….. conditions for a controlled fusion reaction Mark II to occur.

The enormous amount of heat energy that is being continuously created in the core is not created by radio-active fission as current scientific theory would have us believe.
No way.
Fission reactions only occur when very heavy unstable elements like uranium decide to become more stable by throwing out small particles from their nuclei and eventually turn into lead. There would have to be zillions of tons of Uranium at the centre of the earth. It is a fact that Uranium is mined on the surface of the earth which is totally predictable as Uranium and other inherently unstable heavy nuclei would not be expected to occur deep inside planet earth due to the centrifugal effect. As far as assuming that potassium 40 disintegrations produce this heat is concerned - then pull the other one. More likely is that two aluminium atoms are fusing together to form an Iron atom that is both a logical and an exciting hypothesis. So the theory is really quite a simple one. The enormous amount of heat energy that is being generated in the core is the result of a peculiar type of fusion reaction. Like the Sun but different.

With zero gravity and massive pressure at the centre of planet earth, our fusion reaction is possibly the result of two heavier aluminium atoms than hydrogen being forced together at the very centre of the earth. These atoms form iron atoms which account for magnetic phenomenon, but that’s another story. You may be thinking, if you’ve read this far, that this is all a bit far fetched and rather sc-fi. However there is another rather interesting phenomena that leads credence to the fusion Mark 11 theory.

Since the C16th the eleven year ‘Sunspot’ cycle has been monitored, crudely at first with smoked glass and today more rigorously by satellites. Hallmark dark spots on the surface of the sun and great flares of gaseous matter, extending like octopus tentacles into space from the surface of the sun, are seen from planet earth at the peak of some ‘sunspot’ cycles. At the peak of ‘sunspot’ activity these outpourings of atomic particles into space become trapped by gravity at the poles and so form the Northern and Southern Lights. These most marvellous orange and green glows lighting up the night sky must have overawed our ancestors. Infact in April 2002 there was a magnificent display at 3am in the northern sky above Shiehallion which was well worth getting out of bed for!

So why every eleven years is there a peaking in sunspot activity? It could be that just as raking a wood fire keeps the fire burning the jettisoning of particles from the sun enables the fusion reaction to be continuous. If planet earth is kept warm by a fusion reaction mark11, occurring deep in the core, then for that reaction to be continuous there needs to be a disposal of waste nucleaic matter. which would explain the emanations of lava from volcanoes; hotsprings; islands being formed from the sea bed and many other examples of matter being forced through the earth’s crust by huge pressures from within. The fusion reaction in the sun takes place at enormously high temperatures with the heavy hydrogen atoms in the gas or plasma phase.

Latest research using Cray computers puts the inner core teperature at 5500C... as hot as the sun. Yet we are told the inner core is solid. To explain this we need those russian dolls. At the very centre of the earth at this phenomenal temperature Aluminium atoms are plasmified within the solid core of mainly iron which, like the surface of the earth may only be kms thick where it interfaces with the liquidised iron core. The million Bar pressure keeps the core stable. If on rare occaisions the fusion reaction becomes unstable then both matter and energy will break through the solid and liquid cores and the magma will respond by transferring energy to the surface of the earth where cataclysmic eruptions of all the volcanos and 'hot spots' would occur.

The reversal of the earth's magnetic field, the disappearance of the dinosaurs and the biblical ending of this world, as we know it, all become understandable. Maybe there are ‘earthspot’ cycles which are much longer than the 11 yearly sunspot cycles but fulfil the same function. In the interim there have been ice ages and global warming ages which may well result from cyclical fluctuations in the Fusion reaction mark11.

So there you have it.
You exist because of the continuous Fusion reaction occurring inside the Sun and because of the continuous Fusion reaction mark II occurring at the centre of our planet Earth………. This is probably as much as you can take and anyway an explanation of Global warming and The Earth’s Magnetic field will have to wait as this current treatise is hitting my 1200 word limit.
