| GOD'S FIERY FURNACE. | ||

In the August issue you may have read in this paper the hypothesis that there is a continuous fusion reaction occurring in the solid core of our earth. If this is true then we can expect a mirroring of the effects of the other type of continuous fusion reaction that powers the Sun. Deep inside the sun we know that two heavy hydrogen nuclei are fused into a single but lighter helium nuclide and that a massive amount of energy is generated in this process as there is a mass loss in this fusion reaction. It is accepted that the central solid core of the earth and its outer surrounding liquid core contain large concentrations of Iron. The exciting fact is that the Iron nucleus is the most stable of all the nuclides. This suggests that it is the stable Iron nucleus that is formed at the end of an ongoing series of fusion reactions.How could this be…. Well if you were to fuse the nuclei of two Aluminium atoms together you would make an Iron atom. Ah… but you are thinking, where do these Aluminium atoms come from. Well after Creation occurred all those billions of years ago; the earth was a flaming ball of gases containing the elements carbon and nitrogen. That is when Aluminium could well have been produced. For a fusion reaction between a carbon and nitrogen nuclide would… yes you've guessed it… form an aluminium nuclide. It's a very tempting theory this, as when you put a spade into the earth in your garden what do you find. You find oxides of iron, aluminium and silicon. Silicon by the way lives next door to Aluminium in the periodic table and would be formed if two nitrogen atoms were to be fused together. 'Cool Man'….… or as Archimedes said 'Eureka'..… It all starts to make sense and gives credence to the idea that we mortals are walking around on top of a continuous fusion reactor. However our fusion reactor is much less intense and contained inside the 'solid' iron core. It does according to latest research, and the use of a cray computer create a 5000C temperature. If this is the case then there should be similarities between the Sun and planet Earth. Since the discovery of the telescope in Tudor times sunspots, dark patches that come and go from the face of the sun, have been observed and their behaviour recorded. Most noticeable were the eleven year fluctuations in the amount of sunspot activity. It is fascinating to note that in the early 18C we had a mini ice age. Winters were harder and lasted much longer. The Thames froze over and markets were held on the ice. During this time there fewer sun spots were observed. At an eleven year peak, when sunspot activity is particularly high, a corona is often observed around the surface of the sun, giving the impression that the sun is on fire. Solar flares, consisting of particles of immense energy, are also seen in these conditions which create the solar winds and magnetic storms that hammer on the radiation belts surrounding the earth and give rise to the northern and southern lights. For some years now the sunspot activity has been gradually increasing. Last month the earth was buffeted by two very large solar storms, and we are past the peak of the last eleven year cycle. It was estimated that uv radiation from the sun rose by 3/10 of one percent. Sounds small but if the huge energy output from the sun is only increasing minutely it would be enough to explain el nino, global warming et al. Yes folks, it's all pointing to an oncoming 'hot age' If this analysis turns out to be correct, then apart from warmer summers, ice caps melting etc we may well see another cyclical phenomenon……..Another reversing of the earth's magnetic fieldwhich is thought to occur by the dynamo effect of the charged particles of the ionosphere acting on the earth's iron core. The oncoming of larger and larger solar flares could temporarily disperse the ionosphere, which, when it reassembled could do so with opposite polarity and hence cause another reversal of the earths magnetic field. So, what's this got to do with God's Fiery Furnace? Well there are some obvious comparisons to be made. The sun has its sunspots and the earth its earth spots. Earth spots occur when the continuous fusion reactions at the centre get to such a pitch that the inner magma overheats and expands causing vast global volcanic activity. This process may also be cyclical and measured in cycles of millions of years. The last earthspot peak could well have caused the doomsday scenario that saw off the dinosaurs and the next peak could well coincide with Biblical prophesy and herald the Second Coming. |
